Pawpaws (Asimina Triloba) are a Native delight that grows in Michigan. Fruit has a custard-like texture and a tropical taste, a bit like banana or mango. Fruit is soft, thin skinned and perishable so they are not something readily found at the supermarket. You can however grow them successfully in SE Michigan and enjoy this fall treat right off the tree in your back yard.
Cost is $25 which includes the following:
- Background on pawpaws and how to grow them
- A demo of grafting to show the process in detail
- Each person would then be walked through grafting and do their own graft, which they can take home to grow
- Instructions on how to care for the grafted tree
Event will be outside weather permitting, inside if raining.
Event starts at 12:00 PM and will go until 1:00 PM.
